POP of color

I did see this movie and was really impressed. The music, singing, choreography, costumes and like how performing arts were really showcased in this movie. The movie poster is clearly a pop of color against the black and white. Not sure where to start but here I go — The photography of the Cher and Christina is amazing, I really like the placement of the hair and the hat that balance and offset the sides.  The text design for the tagline is simple and focus’ role that the character, the placement of the tagline with the character it reflects. The Burlesque stacked right down the middle really captures your eye and it follows the verticle aligment theme. And its like the signs in Vegas or New York, that light up along side of the building. And The treatment for the text really captures the stage performance of 1860s  /  1940s.  I like the contrast of the Burlesque and the taglines to give you that broadway feel but the thin and modern and sharp angle text (for the tag lines)  is a little feminine.
